Downstairs – the lounge has a slow-combustion heater, two day beds for a third and fourth person and a trundle bed can be added for a fifth person, armchairs, TV and DVD player and a dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped.

The Bakehouse is located in the magnificent old stone Barn and features the original baker’s fireplace and oven in which the bread for the whole estate was made. The exposed stonework is a dramatic feature of the bedroom. The Bakehouse has a private entrance.
The three rooms - bedroom, dining area and bathroom - are painted snowy white, with white furniture and bedding. The deep-set window has views to Mount Direction. The bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed and leather recliner chairs. Modern art is by Tasmanian artists Helen Hopcroft and John Lendis.
Down two steps is the dining area. Artwork is by Melbourne artist Irene Barberis.
There is a free-standing bath and separate shower in the bathroom, which is stunning – starkly simple – with pure white stone walls and fittings contrasted by a dark slate floor.
All suites are equipped with heating, TV/DVD player, electric blanket, refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee-making facilities, clock radio, and hair dryer.

The Homestead is in the main farmhouse with a private entrance off the verandah. We believe it was Richard and Margaret Cleburne’s master bedroom. It has internal access through the original hallway to the Reading Room and Dining Room. Adjacent is the cellar where Cleburne may have stored his contraband.
The Homestead Suite has a Queen bed and armchairs and has been decorated in muted contemporary colours and furnishings. The dramatic ensuite bathroom has a shower and features double vanities.
Artwork is ‘Laudanum’ by John Lendis, from his remarkable series of oils about Jane Franklin.
All suites are equipped with heating, TV/DVD player, electric blanket, refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee-making facilities, clock radio, and hair dryer.

The Barn Suite is located in the middle of our magnificent sandstone barn which originally housed the estate’s horses. The massive exterior walls are mossy and aged and the private entrance is sheltered by a mature Ash tree.
Inside, the stunningly dramatic suite exudes a powerful sense of history, time and tradition. The walls of deeply-raked, raw stone, the ceiling of exposed dark timber beams, the polished sandstone floor contrast with the romantic King size four-poster bed, sumptuous bedding, leather armchairs, thick rugs, flat-screen television and DVD player.
Sparkling new facilities include a kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator and electric jug. The bold, white, spacious ensuite bathroom is equipped with shower, hairdryer and heater.
The Barn Suite is suitable for disabled use with flat easy access and parking close by.
